If Penn is right then I maybe one of the few people outside of Canada to see this series.

I got it on DVD from Amazon a few years ago and found it quite entertaining, especially Penn's aversion to the food in China and his realigning the plaque showing the direction of Mecca in Egypt.

I always wonder if you were just west of Mecca, do you still face west when you pray or do you face east???

I also have a bootleg copy of VR-5 as well as a legal VHS copy of the pilot.  My wife enjoys this series and I keep hoping for a DVD release.  Rhino Records used to sell the VHS so spam them with email asking for its release on DVD!

I remember catching a few episodes of this on CBC or some Canadian station. It's given Penn a lot of fodder for his show but the end product was actually really enjoyable.

I'm playing catch-up on the SS podcast, but having heard Penn talk about his notion of Human Chow I wonder if he knows about what this guy is doing?

First blog ever, here goes!

I had planned to go to the opening of a new coaster at Alton towers. I booked the day off work to go and visit this state of the art, computer designed masterpiece of interwoven steel, wrought into Helices and spirals and corkscrews and loops.

After finishing a long day of work, made somewhat longer by the lingering promise of a well deserved day off the next day, I heard the news that it wasn't ready, gutted wasn't the word...

After… Continue
