Just finished listening to podcast about the Clay Aiken song. At one point in the Podcast you (Penn) talked about a speech where someone thanked Jesus for hearing his prayers and curing him of his cancer. You see this all the time - but what really strikes me is how this is really an outright admission of their disbelief in an afterlife with Jesus. If they really believed there was a better life with Jesus, their behavior should be just the opposite - that is wanting to die and be with Jesus and not praying to be cured. Think about it - by clinging to life they are (maybe subconsciously) admitting they don't believe in an afterlife enough to die. Just more evidence that most Christians are hypocrites or don't even realize the message they are sending when praying to be cured.
